Internship Program
Running from May through August, interns gain hands-on experience in fields like engineering and environmental science—working alongside industry professionals in a supportive, family-oriented environment.
Our interns don’t just observe—they contribute. Through structured training, mentorship, and meaningful projects, participants develop the skills, confidence, and leadership needed to succeed in the future of energy.
An internship experience where you can get hands on, on site, engineering problem solving experience while learning how a refinery operates including safety, environmental, operational, and process perspectives. An environment that fosters learning and building connections.
My summer as an intern for Big West Oil was a great experience. In the process engineering group, I was given meaningful projects that stretched my problem-solving skills and I was involved in the day-to-day of a process engineer, learning what the job is really like. Big West has a very collaborative, friendly, and supportive environment for interns that helped me learn and grow as an engineer.
