From Crude to Clean Energy
Our North Salt Lake facility is a complex medium-conversion refinery with a daily processing capacity of 36,000 barrels— that’s more than one million gallons daily, fueling families and businesses throughout much of the Intermountain West.
We refine a blend of regional crude oils sourced from Utah, Wyoming, and Colorado, transforming them into clean, high-performance fuels. These include gasoline, diesel, liquid petroleum gases, and fuel oil, all of which meet or exceed government standards for clean transportation fuels.
We supply high-quality fuel products to customers across the Intermountain West, including Maverik, Pilot and other major retailers.
Innovation in Every Drop
The refinery features advanced processing units such as crude distillation, catalytic cracking, reforming, hydrotreating, alkylation, and isomerization, enabling it to produce fuels with superior engine performance and cold flow properties
Fueling Progress, Beyond the Pump
At Big West Oil, we are proud to employ approximately 275 dedicated individuals across the Salt Lake Valley and Uinta Basin, and to work in partnership with the United Steel Workers Local 12-578.
